We are here!

It's been way too long since I have been on our blog, but I want to try and keep everyone posted on our lives (mostly Sage's) in Spokane if they are interested. We want to thank everyone who helped us pack and load and anything else that made our move a little easier. My dad was kind enough to drive up here with Sage and I, which would have taken me so much longer to do by myself, so thank you dad! We got here about midnight Washington time. When we tried to pull onto my street there was construction everywhere. Let's just say we got high centered trying to drive to my house when the "ramp" wasn't really a ramp fit for a ford focus. I'm happy we own a truck and a tow strap :) Well welcome to Spokane and all the construction we thought we'd left behind in Utah! We got settled in the next few days with the help of my dad and Wade-who pulled all of our stuff in a horse trailer and did much more. We couldn't have made it with out either of them.

We live 3 miles from Tyson's campus and it's just a little bit farther from his work. Yes, he will be able to keep his job after he starts school. What a blessing! Now if I could just find a job we would be set. Hopefully I can start subbing soon! We've been able to spend a lot of time together which I am grateful for because Tyson's schedule will pretty darn busy during the week. His schedule most days will be school from 8-5 and work 5:30 to about 9 or 10! He starts next week so our time to just be lazy is running short.

Tyson got a new driver's license and license plate. I will most likely be getting a new number as well. I have been job searching, trying to find a place for everything and changing old info to new, getting set up to sub, and all that fun stuff. Tip: when you move out of state, which we have never done before, remember it probably costs more money to register vehicles and get licenses than you think, especially if your vehicle doesn't pass emissions. :(

We are also working on our headboard from extra wood Tyson took from Fairview.
Before and after

Now we just need to add a trim and stain it! This is our first head board and I wish I could say I have done most of the work but I wouldn't have a clue! At least I can say I helped and got the project started!

We also visited Manito Park, Coeur D'alene Lake, and other city parks. We've mostly been trying not to get too lost.

I did happen on my favorite find while taking a wrong turn after dropping dad off at the airport though! Now this may sound a little silly, but I was excited to see this, its a little bit of home.

Jenny and Tyson! I so loved getting this update! We've missed you here, and though it sounds like you've had quite an adventure in getting moved out to Washington, I'm glad you had helping hands and little blessings along the way.

The headboard project is neat--great work! And I'm so relieved Tyson will be able to continue working. I'm sure something will come along for you too Mrs. Jenny. I'll keep you in my prayers. Hug Sage an extra time for all of us.

Love ya!

Aww I miss you guys but am so glad things are going well! I'm so happy that Tyson gets to keep his job that has to be a relief! I love all the pictures especially the Cowley sign haha.

So I have to tell you, yesterday the first words out of Katelyn's mouth when she woke up was "Mom where's Sagey?" I told her Sagey is at her house then I asked if she dreamed about her and she said "Ya". So cute huh? I think we need to do some skyping soon what do you say?
Oh and I love the headboard it's turning out so great!
